Meet Kevin Faist, DMD

 

Dr. Kevin Faist enjoys all aspects of dentistry, appreciating the diversity and challenges the profession provides. He also loves interacting with patients of all ages and being able to meet new people every day. He takes pride in his work and ensures each patient receives excellent, pain-free dentistry. Dr. Faist is dedicated to staying current with the newest products and techniques by continuing his education and taking courses in all aspects of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry and veneers, dental implants, and fixed and removable prosthodontics. He is Invisalign®-certified and has received an associate fellowship in laser dentistry.

Background

Previously, Dr. Faist and his family lived in Chicago, where he was part of a premier, 5-star-rated private dental practice. Dr. Faist considers himself lucky to have been mentored by some of the most well-respected and skillful general and cosmetic dentists in the Chicago area. However, his main mentor and reason he became a dentist is his father, who is also a dentist still practicing in Cleveland, Ohio.

Education

Dr. Faist received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Notre Dame in 2008, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to dental school at Case Western Reserve University and graduated first in his class. Upon graduation, Dr. Faist was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society on merit of scholarship and character.

Patient Care Philosophy

Above all, Dr. Faist is committed to providing excellent dentistry to each and every one of his patients. He takes the time necessary to truly get to know his patients and always puts his patient’s interests first. He treats everyone with honesty, compassion, and respect. Dr. Faist knows that dental work can be stressful to many people, and he goes out of his way to create a relaxing environment to ensure his patients always feel comfortable.

Interests & Hobbies

In his free time, Dr. Faist enjoys spending time with his family. They all are extremely happy to be living in the South Bay. Dr. Faist’s wife Luisa grew up in Redondo Beach, and they couldn’t be more excited to be living close to their family.

Having spent most of his life in the Midwest, Dr. Faist truly appreciates the beautiful Southern California weather and tries to be outside as much as possible. He is very proud of his wife Luisa, who is a successful marketing executive, and their 3-year-old son Gabriel. Their dog Luna is a lab retriever mix, a rescue dog that is always on the hunt for any unattended food. Since moving here, he has found a new love in surfing, finding it challenging, relaxing, and extremely humbling all at the same time. A self-proclaimed “coffee snob,” he has been roasting his own coffee for years, a hands-on process he enjoys as much as the delicious end result.
